We have recently bought our 14th consecutive Subaru from Ashburton Motor Works in the past 32 years. On each occasion of changing our vehicle it has been a very smooth and professional transaction. It seems all we have to do is hand in the keys of one vehicle, pick up the keys of the new vehicle and drive away happy. There might be a balance to pay, but this seems to go practically un-noticed when dealing with, what now seems to be, old friends. We have never found the need to negotiate on price as the price offered in part exchange and the price of the new vehicle has always been realistic and satisfactory. After sales service is also very professional and we continue to use Ashburton Motor Works even though it means 120 mile round trip from home.

Ashburton Motor Works must be one of the best and most friendly garages in all of Devon. I have been a Subaru driver and hence customer there for 20 years now and never ever have they let me down. In fact they go the extra mile and beyond and always give me updates and exact price estimates, if anything other than my annual service and MOT needs doing. Also they always offer a loan car if needs be and the team have more or less been the same friendly and knowledgeable folks, ever since I first went there. Also their workshops are always tidy and looking organised. I cannot praise them highly enough for their always precise and excellent work and services. Highly recommended.

Excellent service. I took my Subaru Justy to them with an exhaust problem. Instead of charging for an expensive new unit they repaired it. A common fault that was resolved quickly with some clever welding. Proper mechanical engineering. Restores your faith in garages.

Fantastic bunch of guys. They did a game belt Change and full service on my imprezza last week. Very fast and reliable service and didn't charge the earth. Worked out cheaper to take it to a Subaru dealer than to my local garage. Also meant I got another stamp I'm my book and all original Subaru parts. They even give you a courtesy car for an extra £10. Highly recommend them. And I will certainly use them again in the future and probably throughout ownership of my Subaru 👌

Excellent dealership, have always had great dealings with the parts and service department, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had an mot done on Saturday at Ashburton dropped it off in the morning at 8:30 and it was finished by 10am no problems at all. I’ve been using this place for years and have never had any issues, always a professional service.

We bought our car 4 months ago, and have been so glad with the decision. We knew what we wanted. And as soon as the car was advertised, we came to see it. We got a deal, a special one that even included special homegrown vegetable. When we came to pick up the car, we learned that one of the old wheels had been replaced. Extremely thankful! The car has been amazing. Would recommend this garage!
